Job summary

WISE Employment is seeking casual Support Workers in Western Sydney to deliver NDIS services across Penrith and Blacktown. You will provide person-centered support, engage participants in the community, and help them achieve individual plans and goals.

The role requires empathy, communication skills, and a driver’s license with own transport. Mandatory pre-employment screenings will be conducted before offer.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in supporting people with a disability in a professional or life-experience context.
• Understanding of disability and impacts on social relationships and daily living.
• Experience in supporting participants with their plans and goals with a capacity-building focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants in the community and support them with individualized plans and goals.
• Assist participants to attend community events and explore work through supported placements.
• Help participants identify job interests and learn to use public transport.
