Job summary

DFP Recruitment is seeking an APS6 Policy Officer in NSW with hybrid flexibility for a 3-month contract. You will contribute to policy reform and provide high-quality policy advice on complex issues, engaging internal and external stakeholders to support reform projects and governance.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently while collaborating with a team to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Analytical, research and problem-solving skills to prepare clear briefs, reports and correspondence.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build productive relationships.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with structured analysis.
• Experience applying judgement to complex policy issues and delivering high-quality policy advice.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team to develop and implement reform policy related to the Agency reform agenda.
• Identify, build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop policy, project and corporate documents for review to a high standard.
• Engage with stakeholders and design engagement activities.
• Make decisions using good judgement to progress work within governance.
• Use data and technical inputs to form recommendations.
• Contribute to reform projects aligned with the Agency's reform program.
