Blue Sky Community Services is seeking a Local Area Coordinator to join the Coffs Harbour team. This full-time, 38-hour-per-week position is offered on a fixed‑term basis until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role focuses on helping people with disability access the NDIS and implement their plans.

Ideal candidates will have transferable qualifications or experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to inclusion and person‑centred support within the community.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications, skills or lived/work experience transferable to delivering Local Area Coordination services.
• Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS and participant support pathways.
• Ability to deliver person-centred, strengths-based supports aligned with human rights and inclusion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with participants, families and stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Support eligible people with disability to access the NDIS and implement their NDIS Plan.
• Assist participants, families and carers to identify and pursue goals that enable a good life.
• Build capacity of participants and their support networks to exercise choice and control and manage plans.
• Foster community connections and links to broaden options and supports available.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to support inclusion and opportunities for people with disability.
