Job summary

Blue Sky Community Services is seeking a Local Area Coordinator to join our supportive team in Coffs Harbour. The role is full time, 38 hours per week, based at our Coffs Harbour office, and funded under the NDIS Local Area Coordination Service.

You will help eligible people with disability access the NDIS and implement their plans to live a good life. We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applicants from varied backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and participant pathways.
• Ability to deliver person-centred supports and build capacity for participants and carers.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist eligible people with disability to access the NDIS and implement their NDIS Plan.
• Support participants, families and carers to identify goals and pursue outcomes.
• Build capacity for choice and independence in daily living and plan management.
• Assist non-eligible individuals to explore options and access services beyond the Scheme.
• Contribute to community linkage and inclusion through the LAC service.
