Job summary

Saab Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to lead in-service support and engineering change projects across our Engineering Sustainment Team, delivering outcomes for Combat Management Systems on naval vessels.

You will manage scope, schedule, cost, quality and governance while engaging Defence stakeholders and driving contract changes. Flexible hybrid work from home/office with part-time options are considered.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, science or business.
• Experience delivering sustainment or in-service projects, ideally in naval/defence.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering change, capability enhancements, obsolescence remediation and defect resolution.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality and governance to meet outcomes.
• Provide direction to the Sustainment Team for successful project execution.
• Develop in-service support strategies that meet contractual obligations.
• Prepare and maintain plans, budgets, forecasts and milestones.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities.
• Lead reviews and present progress to customers and senior stakeholders.
• Manage contract variations and evolving project scope.
• Build strong relationships with Defence customers and internal partners.
