Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Project Manager to lead in-service support and engineering change projects across our Engineering Sustainment Team, ensuring delivery of customer outcomes on naval surface vessels.

You will manage scope, schedule, cost, quality and governance, drive engineering change programs, build strong stakeholder relationships, and develop strategies to maximise business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering sustainment projects, ideally in Naval/Defence.
• Strong understanding of PM principles, methodologies and best practices.
• APMP/PMI CPPM accreditation or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of engineering change, capability enhancements, obsolescence remediation and defect resolution.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality and governance to meet outcomes.
• Provide direction and support to the Engineering Sustainment Team.
• Develop and implement in-service support project strategies to meet contractual obligations.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, forecasts and milestones.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and opportunities.
• Lead project reviews and present progress updates to customers and senior stakeholders.
• Manage contract variations and evolving scope.
• Build relationships with Defence customers and partners.
