Job summary

Navantia Australia seeks an experienced Lead Systems Integration Engineer to lead the Combat Systems integration discipline for naval ships. You will manage engineering design, coordinate project plans, and deliver technical reports to standards.

The role requires 12+ years in engineering, Defence experience, and strong leadership. You will work with Navantia’s engineering team and collaborate with clients to ensure timely, compliant integration across platforms.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in a technical and industrial Defence environment.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• Proven ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
• Knowledge of vessel outfit and equipment integration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Combat Systems integration discipline to deliver naval combat systems integration for ships.
• Provide leadership and line management to the Combat Systems engineering discipline.
• Plan and coordinate engineering projects from concept through delivery, including schedules and stakeholder engagement.
• Deliver technical reports and documentation to Navantia and customer standards.
• Coordinate design reviews and liaise with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
