Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Naval/Mechanical engineer to contribute to naval and maritime platforms, systems and engineering solutions. You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver practical design solutions and ensure quality in engineering drawings and analysis.

A completed or near-completed Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering is required; strong AutoCAD skills and excellent teamwork and communication are essential; Australian

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to apply engineering fundamentals to practical design and integration challenges.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD drawing and modelling, with high quality standard and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with willingness to learn and contribute within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of naval and maritime platforms, systems and engineering solutions.
• Support the development of engineering analysis, calculations, modelling, technical drawings, documents and reviews under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Collaborate across naval architecture, mechanical, electrical, systems and other engineering disciplines to solve technical problems and develop practical design solutions.
• Build technical capability through exposure to complex maritime projects, customers and the broader engineering lifecycle.
