Kinexus is seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join a Defence-focused engineering team in Sydney, NSW. The role involves conducting technical investigations, producing detailed reports, and contributing to multi-disciplinary ship system designs.

You will read engineering drawings, apply Australian Standards and IMO requirements, and use CAD tools to support concept-to-delivery of naval projects while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with Naval Architecture, Marine platform Designs, Outfitting engineering.
• Familiarity with fundamental structural analysis concepts.
• High level of skill in Standard Computing Packages.
• Ability to understand and apply relevant Australian Standards, Classification Society and IMO requirements.
• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) packages.

Responsabilités

• Provide a high level of engineering technical competence based on relevant experience and knowledge.
• Provide experience and technical knowledge of functional and detailed design related to Naval Architecture and Outfitting.
• Undertake technical investigations, root cause analysis and solution identification.
• Deliver technical reports and technical documentation in accordance with customer standards.
• Work effectively within the broader Engineering Team to engage with different engineering disciplines in the development of new naval ship system designs.
• Plan and coordinate assigned engineering projects from concept through to delivery, including the development of project plans, schedule and engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
