Job summary

Metcash Trading Limited in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a National Lease Administration Manager to lead end-to-end property documentation across Australia and New Zealand, partnering with Property and Legal teams.

You will draft and negotiate leases and related agreements, drive process improvements, manage WIP, and provide practical leasing guidance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in property law, lease administration or a legal role.
• Strong understanding of property and leasing legislation.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate legal documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational capability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PEXA or similar platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end property legal documentation for the national portfolio.
• Draft, review and negotiate leases, licences, assignments, notices and related agreements.
• Partner with Property and Legal teams to prioritise and progress matters.
• Provide practical guidance on property and leasing matters.
• Manage legal work-in-progress to ensure timely resolutions.
• Review external legal invoices, budgets and cost tracking.
• Conduct legal research and analyse legislation and documentation.
• Drive process improvements and develop best-practice systems.
