Job summary

nbn is seeking a Senior Manager, Field Change & Readiness to lead a national team that makes change practical and safe for a dispersed blue-collar workforce. You will own the change and communications strategy, govern intake and sequencing, and provide leaders with clear readiness and risk guidance.

You will build capability, set direction, and lead priority change activities while staying close to frontline work to support high‑risk or priority initiatives.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading complex organisational change in operational environments.
• Proven success delivering communications for frontline or blue-collar workforces.
• Strong knowledge of impact assessment, readiness, adoption and measurement.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and building capability.
• Excellent plain-English writing skills; ability to simplify technical information without losing accuracy.
• Strong executive influencing, facilitation, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Ability to balance strategic direction with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent; recognised change management/communications qualifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Field Services change and communications strategy, operating model and governance for a national team.
• Govern intake, prioritisation, sequencing and resourcing; maintain an integrated roadmap.
• Ensure safety, fatigue, workflows and systems readiness are understood and addressed.
• Align sponsorship, roles and expectations across Field Services, project teams and enterprise functions.
• Deliver complex, sensitive or high-risk change, readiness and communications activity when required.
• Use data and stakeholder feedback to strengthen adoption and workforce experience.
