Job summary

Surf Life Saving Australia is seeking a proactive Event Administrator to support planning and delivery of major national events. You will provide administrative and operational support to the Event Team, ensuring events run safely, professionally and within budget.

Key duties include managing documentation, coordinating volunteers and suppliers, and maintaining schedules. A background in event management and strong organisational skills are essential; travel to national events may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Sports Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Event administration qualifications or training highly regarded.
• Experience supporting planning and delivery of sporting, community or large-scale events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating event planning documentation including plans, procedures, schedules and timelines.
• Assisting with event site planning and coordinating infrastructure, contractors and suppliers.
• Developing bump-in/out schedules to support delivery of events.
• Administering event entries, results and participant information systems.
• Preparing and distributing event communications to stakeholders.
• Coordinating volunteers, officials, contractors and suppliers for event success.
• Managing contractor quotations, tenders and compliance documentation.
• Building relationships with surf clubs, government authorities and internal teams.
• Supporting event reporting, budget monitoring and WHS compliance.
• Attending and supporting national events across Australia as required.
