Job summary

Greville Consulting is seeking a National Business Development Manager to drive its five‑year growth strategy, expand into new markets and build a sustainable pipeline of projects across South Australia, Victoria and Queensland.

Based in Adelaide, you will work alongside the Managing Director and senior leadership to identify opportunities, win work, and shape the growth trajectory across civil infrastructure, roads, rail and utilities. Interstate travel is anticipated monthly.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record winning work and developing client relationships.
• Established industry network and understanding of procurement/tendering.
• Commercial acumen to assess opportunities and grow markets.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional business development across SA, VIC and QLD.
• Identify new clients, markets and sectors before tenders release.
• Develop and convert opportunities through proposals and project awards.
• Expand Greville's presence with operational leadership alignment.
• Build and maintain a national pipeline and provide market insights.
• Travel interstate monthly to Victoria and Queensland.

EGM is partnering with Greville Consulting to look for a National Business Development Manager to help drive its five-year growth strategy, expand into new markets and build a sustainable pipeline of projects across South Australia, Victoria and Queensland.

Greville Consulting is a growing Australian engineering and project management consultancy supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects across South Australia and nationally.

Working alongside Tier 1 contractors, government and major project teams, Greville provides experienced engineering and project management capability across roads, rail, bridges, tunnels, utilities and major civil infrastructure.

The Opportunity

• Work directly with the Managing Director to shape and execute Greville's national growth strategy.
• Identify new clients, markets and sectors, building relationships well before projects reach tender.
• Develop and convert opportunities across construction, engineering, infrastructure and related industries.
• Lead business development activity from early market intelligence through to proposals, tenders and project awards.
• Expand Greville's presence across SA, VIC and QLD, working closely with operational leadership to align opportunities with delivery capability.
• Build and maintain a strong national pipeline, providing market insights and commercial recommendations to support decision-making.

About You

You're an established business development professional who understands the construction, engineering or infrastructure landscape and knows how to turn industry relationships into commercial outcomes.

You'll bring:

• Significant experience across construction, engineering, infrastructure or a related technical sector.
• A proven track record in business development, winning work and developing new client relationships.
• An established industry network and a strong understanding of project procurement and tendering.
• The commercial acumen to assess opportunities, identify emerging markets and develop a strategic approach to growth.
• The initiative to work autonomously, backed by the ability to collaborate closely with senior leadership and operational teams.

Experience within an engineering consultancy, contractor or construction-related business will be highly regarded, particularly across civil infrastructure, energy, defence or other technical markets.
