Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant in Australia to join a growing finance team. You will report to the Financial Controller and oversee AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance across BAS and GST, with broad exposure to financial accounting and business support activities.

This hands-on role suits a proactive accounting professional who thrives across multiple finance areas and contributes to business operations and improvements.

Qualifications

• Senior Assistant Accountant, Assistant Accountant, or similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month‑end processes.
• Experience with ERP systems; Dynamics AX experience will be highly regarded.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable function: invoicing, supplier accounts, payments and reconciliations.
• Support accounts receivable: invoicing, customer accounts, collections and follow‑ups on debts.
• Process employee expenses and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and support process improvements.
• Assist with daily banking activities and cash management.
