Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a National Account Manager for the Bunnings account in Australia. Based at our Clayton facility, this hybrid role involves on-site work four days a week with some interstate travel (around 5 trips/year).

You will manage the Bunnings relationship, develop strategic sales plans, and work with the Retail sales team to grow market share. You will liaise with stakeholders, drive value-added support, and lead product-range expansion in the channel, while upholding PPG’s

At PPG, we’re currently looking for a driven, retail-minded candidate to join our team as the National Account Manager for our Bunnings account. This is an opportunity to manage one of the key relationships for PPG within the Australian and New Zealand markets, and work with renowned brands such as Taubmans, White Knight & PPG Paints. You will liaise effectively with stakeholders at Bunnings, utilizing your strong relationship building skills to protect our current market share, and identify opportunities for growth.

Reporting to the Channel Business Manager, you will work closely with the Retail sales team, making recommendations and developing plans to continuously improve the services we provide.

This is an exciting role, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to have a lasting impact on the performance of our business across Australia and New Zealand. Based out of our Clayton facility, this is a hybrid role with a minimum of 4 days per week on-site. There will be the requirement for interstate travel, on average 5 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen the relationship with Bunnings by building connections across all levels of the organization.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with business and customer growth objectives, delivering value-added support to drive engagement.
• Collaborate with the Retail sales team to align objectives and ensure the seamless execution of strategic plans aimed at increasing market share and continuously enhancing the services PPG provides.
• Lead initiatives to grow and expand the PPG product range in the channel.
• Uphold the company’s values and contribute positively to the workplace culture.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years National Account Experience, with sound knowledge of the Hardware/Coatings market.
• Prior experience working for or with Bunnings.
• Focused and driven by results.
• Tertiary qualified in Business, Commerce or Marketing.
• Sound commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Willingness to travel regionally and engage with customers face-to-face.
