Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking a classroom teacher for Hoppers Crossing Secondary College. The role focuses on planning, preparing, and delivering programs that achieve specific student outcomes and align with the college's emphasis on academic rigor and student growth.

You will participate in professional learning, undertake duties as assigned within salary range, and work to improve teaching quality across Years 7–12 through evidence-based approaches and collaboration with staff

Qualifications

• Knowledge of relevant curriculum and the ability to integrate literacy and numeracy across learning.
• Experience planning and applying high impact teaching strategies.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and providing feedback to students/parents.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals; implement and evaluate curriculum programs.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of school policies and priorities.
• Collaborate with staff to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.
• Supervise and train student teachers as needed.
• Use student data to inform teaching approaches to improve outcomes.
