Job summary

Melbourne Girls Grammar School is seeking a knowledgeable Violin Teacher to join our Music Faculty as a Music Itinerant. The casual position supports the School's Music Program through individual tuition across the Junior and Middle Years, and participates in the Year 2/3 String Program.

The successful applicant will bring strong Violin pedagogy, experience teaching diverse age groups (Years 5–12), and an inclusive, engaging teaching style.

Qualifications

• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Violin pedagogy.
• Experience teaching individual Violin lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
• Experience working with students across Years 5 to 12.
• Inclusive and strengths-based approach to teaching and learning.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide casual violin lessons in Junior and Middle Years.
• Assist in the Year 2/3 String Program with delivery of lessons.
• Deliver individual tuition across Junior and Middle Years.
• Potential to grow teaching load based on student enrolments.
