Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a Museum Assistant Front of House to warmly welcome visitors and support day-to-day museum operations, with a passion for minerals and fossils.

You will handle cash, stock, and shop presentation, use computer systems, and contribute to a friendly, informative guest experience in a part-time role.

The position runs 30 hours per week (Saturday to Tuesday) with a maximum-term contract of 6 months; applications close on 8 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Provide high-quality customer service and present a positive image of the museum and Bathurst Regional Council.
• Current Class C NSW Drivers Licence or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cash handling and float reconciliations.
• Interact with visitors in a courteous, informative way.
• Work independently and within a team.
• Operate computer packages and learn new systems.
• Maintain shop presentation and stock levels.
