Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a casual Visitor Experience Team Member for the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC). The role offers ad hoc weekday hours to fit around other work, study, or personal commitments in a vibrant entertainment environment.

You will welcome guests, serve at the bar, assist with events, and help ensure every visitor feels comfortable and looked after. The position includes a pre-employment health assessment and requires flexibility for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for customer service and creating great guest experiences.
• Previous experience in food and beverage service.
• Willingness to obtain a valid NSW RSA if you don’t already have one.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional presentation.
• Reliable and available for flexible hours including weekdays, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and school/university breaks.
• Physically able to assist with event setup and pack-down.
• Comfortable handling cash and EFTPOS transactions.

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a customer-focused hospitality professional to join the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) as Casual Visitor Experience Team Member.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to pick up ad hoc weekday hours around other work, study, family or personal commitments. With shifts available across events, functions and daytime activities, it’s a great opportunity to earn some extra income while enjoying a vibrant and varied workplace.

At BMEC, we believe the experience of our patrons starts well before the curtain rises and continues long after the final bow. As a Visitor Experience Team Member, you’ll play an important part in creating that experience — from welcoming guests with a friendly smile, to serving at the bar, assisting with functions and events, and helping ensure every visitor feels comfortable and looked after.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.

Hourly Rate: $36.79 per hour + weekend / public holiday penalty rates + super

Position Status: Casual
