Job summary

Novita in Murray Bridge is seeking a committed Disability Support Worker to provide personal care and tailored support for clients with varying needs. You will work within a values-driven team, delivering daily living assistance, mobility support, and participation in activities.

The role requires flexibility to cover 24/7 shifts, including nights. The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Disability, First Aid, and a commitment to privacy and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Disability or equivalent is required.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training.
• Knowledge of National Disability Standards and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care to clients with low to high-level needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living including personal care, medication, cooking, cleaning, appointments, and outings.
• Encourage positive routines and behaviours in a respectful, flexible manner.
• Monitor and support individual program plans and report outcomes.
• Safely assist with mobility and physical support needs.
• Work across a 24/7 roster including night shifts.

About the Role

As aDisability Support Workerbased at Murray Bridge, you’ll support and deliver personal care to clients of all ages.

• Delivering tailored support to individuals with low to high-level needs
• Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, medication, cooking, cleaning, appointments, and recreational outings
• Encouraging positive routines and behaviours in a respectful and flexible manner.
• Monitoring and supporting individual program plans and report outcomes
• Safely assisting with mobility and physical support needs
• Shifts will include 24/7 supports, predominantly SIL and Individualised Support.We are seeking applicants who have flexible availability for a variety shifts over a 24/7 roster, including passive night shifts

• Experience and commitment to encouraging and facilitating participating in activities of daily living
• Strong understanding and commitment to person-centred care
• Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with high intensity support needs
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Confident using client management systems and maintaining accurate records
• Experience with behaviour support strategies and health needs and the ability to adapt supports to clients needs
• Commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Disability or equivalent (required)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Willingness to complete all mandatory training requirements
• Knowledge of National Disability Standards and safeguarding practices
