Job summary

Byron Shire Council is seeking multiple motivated Multi Skilled Labourers to join our Works team in Mullumbimby. This hands‑on role supports roads, bridges, stormwater, water and sewer projects, plus parks and public spaces.

Two permanent full‑time and two 2-year term positions are available. You’ll work 38 hours per week, with NSW Local Government Award salary between $1,118.33 and $1,295.76 plus allowances and 12% super.

Qualifications

• Experience undertaking general labouring duties in civil works.
• Ability to operate small plant and light equipment as listed.
• Current Drivers Licence and White Card.
• Willingness to work in a team and adapt to priorities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general labouring duties across civil infrastructure projects.
• Assist with road construction, maintenance, traffic control and signage.
• Support bridge, stormwater, water and sewer works as directed.
• Operate small plant and light vehicles within licence requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors to deliver quality outcomes safely.
