Byron Shire Council is seeking multiple motivated and reliable Multi Skilled Labourers to join our Works team. This hands-on role contributes to the construction, maintenance and improvement of essential infrastructure assets across the Shire, helping deliver services that keep our communities connected, safe and thriving.

This position is based at Byron Depot in Byron Bay, NSW, with 38 hours per week and a mix of permanent and 2-year fixed-term contracts.

Qualificações

• Experience in construction, maintenance or civil works labouring.
• Ability to operate small plant and equipment per licence requirements.
• Demonstrated teamwork, reliability and safety focus.
• Basic computer literacy and problem-solving abilities.
• Current Drivers Licence and White Card are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake general labouring duties across civil infrastructure projects.
• Assist with road construction and maintenance, traffic control, line marking and signage works.
• Support bridge, stormwater, water and sewer construction and maintenance activities.
• Operate and maintain small plant and light vehicles per licencing requirements.
• Contribute to parks, gardens, concrete, footpath and paving works.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team to deliver safe, quality outcomes.
• Participate in rostered on-call and emergency work when required.
