Job summary

The Mai-Wel Group in Maitland NSW is seeking a capable Facilities Maintenance Officer to join our Facilities Maintenance Social Enterprise team. You will oversee preventative maintenance programs, coordinate repairs, liaise with contractors, and provide guidance to the maintenance crew.

Based at our Telarah office, this role supports multiple sites across the Hunter Region, requiring strong organisational skills, practical problem-solving and a collaborative approach with diverse colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, trades management or similar.
• Experience planning, coordinating and delivering maintenance programs.
• Experience delivering maintenance services to required standards and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deliver internal Preventative Maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate site and asset inspections.
• Action work orders and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Liaise with Vendors & Contractors to ensure safe, efficient works.
• Identify assets needing repair, maintenance or replacement.
• Monitor safety, security and property protection issues.
• Supervise, mentor and train maintenance team members.
