Job summary

SSI in Australia seeks a Multicultural Support Officer (MSO) to support clients and communities, helping them access services and settle in Australia. You will provide language support, assist with appointments and transport, and engage with ethnic and faith communities to share information and referrals.

Qualifications

• Language ability and English proficiency are essential.
• Strong digital literacy and basic computer skills required.
• Experience in facilitation or training or case management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient new arrivals to Australia and SSI services.
• Provide language support for client and staff interactions.
• Assist with appointments, transport, and information sessions.
• Coordinate with ethnic/faith communities to share SSI information and referrals.
• Deliver cultural insights to support staff and program co-design.
