Job summary

Offshore Staff Assist is seeking dedicated individuals to support Social Workers and Welfare Workers by providing essential services to families in Australia. You will assess needs, design education and support programs, interview clients, monitor progress, and coordinate referrals to services.

You will liaise with community groups and government bodies, support families and vulnerable individuals, and prepare funding submissions. English proficiency and relevant AQF qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• AQF qualification frameworks acceptable for the role.
• Experience may substitute for formal qualifications in some cases.
• Assessment and certification by a relevant skills assessing authority required.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' needs and develop, plan, and implement educational, training, and support programs.
• Conduct interviews with clients to understand the nature and extent of their challenges.
• Monitor and report on the progress of clients.
• Refer clients to other agencies for additional assistance.
• Evaluate community needs and resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other services.
• Liaise with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies, and private businesses to discuss issues and promote resources.
• Provide support to families and care for children and disabled individuals in various settings.
• Supervise offenders on probation and parole.
• Assist young people with social, emotional, and financial issues.
• Prepare submissions for funding and reports to government bodies and other agencies.
