Job summary

Randwick City Council is seeking Multi-Skilled Workers to perform cleansing duties across beaches, parks, toilets and public spaces in the Eastern Suburbs. Casual roles with shifts from 4am to 10pm, seven days a week, are available in multiple locations.

A current Driver's Licence and White Card are required, with a drive to maintain high safety and customer service standards. These roles are casual with no guaranteed shifts; you will join a team focused on safety, efficiency and pride in the

Qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence is required.
• White Card (WHS General Construction Induction) is required.
• Class C Driver's Licence is required.
• Be self-motivated, able to learn, and follow Council policies and procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment in line with manufacturer specifications and safety rules.
• Complete vehicle maintenance check sheets and report any damage or repairs.
• Carry out plant maintenance and drive council vehicles safely.
• Keep Council vehicles clean and well presented when under your control.
• Follow Safe Work Method Statements and maintain high safety standards.
• Provide quality customer service aligned with community needs.

Salary: From $33.57 per hour + 25% casual loading + 12% superannuation

We are looking for Multi-Skilled Workers to fill several positions in a variety of different shifts. In these roles, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings such as our beaches, parks, toilets, and public spaces. We value teamwork and provide a supportive environment for all our employees.

These positions are casual in nature and have no guarantee of shifts. The department operates 7 days a week with shifts between 4am and 10pm.

In this position, you will be required to undertake cleansing services throughout the local area including beaches, public facilities and other public places including residential areas and town centres. A commitment to workplace safety is fundamental as well as providing superior customer service to promote a positive image of Council.

Some of the things you will do:

• Operate plant equipment consistent with manufacturer’s specifications
• Ensure completion of vehicle maintenance check sheets and reporting any damage or mechanical repairs needed
• Efficiently carry out plant maintenance and drive council vehicles in safe manner
• Be responsible for the general cleanliness and appearances of Council’s vehicle whilst under your control
• Effectively perform all activities in accordance with Council’s Safe Work Method Statements
• Focus on quality customer service based on needs of the community
