Job summary

Cumberland City Council is seeking a Team Member - Cleansing located in Cumberland, NSW. The role is permanent and full-time, based at Auburn Depot with travel across council worksites and a 70-hour fortnight including RDO.

The starting salary sits within the Cumberland Salary Structure with a weekly range and 12% superannuation, and the position requires a valid light vehicle licence and pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in general maintenance duties.
• Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with peers, customers and community organisations and an ability to work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate a strong customer focus with sound customer service skills and the ability to embrace a system of change and continual improvement.
• Current Class C driver's licence.
• Be able to operate multiple cleansing plant (high pressure units, blowers).
• Current Traffic Control and Traffic Management Implementer card (Traffic Control Combo).
• General Construction Induction Card (White card).
• AQF3 'ChemCert' Chemical Accreditation.

The Successful Applicant Will Require

About This Role

• Permanent, full-time position
• 70 hour fortnight
• Access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement
• Located at Council's Auburn Depot, with frequent travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council's work locations

Salary information

• Grade 4 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,140.67 to $1,397.32 per week, plus 12% superannuation
• The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role

What You'll Need To Have For This Role

• The right to live and work in Australia
• Be able to provide information for pre‐employment checks required for the position, including attending a physical pre‐employment medical examination as required
• Participate in health monitoring as outlined in the risk assessment for this position and Council's Health Monitoring Procedure, as required
