Job summary

CPH Mining & Civil is seeking multi-skilled operators for Blackwater Mine on a FIFO Brisbane roster. You will handle earthworks across digger, grader and dozer tasks with emphasis on final trim and safe operation.

You’ll join a seasoned civil and rehabilitation crew with ongoing works, 7/7 rosters optional, flights Brisbane–Emerald, meals and camp provided.

Candidates should have two or more of excavator/grader/dozer skills, mine-site training and relevant statements of attainment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competence across two or more of excavators, graders and dozers.
• Proven final trim experience for grader and excavator operation.
• Strong civil earthworks experience within a mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver earthworks where accuracy, finish and safe operation matter.
• Final trim excavation and grading to required levels, grades and profiles.
• Bulk earthworks, excavation and placement and compaction of fill.
• Construction and shaping of dams, drains, batters, bunds and spillways.
• Access track, road and laydown area construction and maintenance.
• Rehabilitation works, including topsoil stripping, stockpiling and spreading.
• Erosion and sediment control works, including rock protection and drainage improvements.
• Pre-start inspections, equipment care and prompt defect reporting.
• Working closely with supervisors and the crew to meet safety, quality and environmental requirements.

Confident trimming batters, shaping drains and finishing earthworks to specification? Join CPH Mining & Civil’s experienced civil and rehabilitation crew at Blackwater Mine.

We’re seeking skilled operators with demonstrated experience across two or more of excavators, graders and dozers. Final trim experience is essential for grader and excavator operators.

With ongoing civil, environmental and rehabilitation works, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work across varied projects, backed by a capable crew and a 7/7 roster.

Your duties will include:

You’ll deliver earthworks where accuracy, finish and safe operation matter. Depending on your competencies and the project, your work will include:

• Final trim excavation and grading, achieving required levels, grades and profiles
• Bulk earthworks, excavation and placement and compaction of fill
• Construction and shaping of dams, drains, batters, bunds and spillways
• Access track, road and laydown area construction and maintenance
• Rehabilitation works, including topsoil stripping, stockpiling and spreading
• Erosion and sediment control works, including rock protection and drainage improvements
• Pre-start inspections, equipment care and prompt defect reporting
• Working closely with supervisors and the crew to meet safety, quality and environmental requirements

Additional experience operating Moxys, HR watercarts, loaders and other mobile plant will be highly regarded.

To be successful you will have:

• Demonstrated competence across two or more of excavators, graders and dozers
• Proven final trim experience for grader and excavator operation
• Strong civil earthworks experience within a mining environment
• Relevant RII Statements of Attainment and mine site training transcripts or competency records
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
• Pride in quality workmanship and a strong commitment to safe operation
• The ability to work effectively within a multi-skilled crew
