Job summary

Hussey Corp is seeking multi-skilled plant operators for FIFO/local roles across Weipa and Groote Eylandt in North Queensland. Successful candidates will hold HR Driver's Licence, RII tickets/VOCs, and a White Card, and be able to pass medical and drug testing.

Mining or remote-site experience is preferred. Join a privately owned company with a strong project pipeline in civil, mining, and government sectors.

Qualifications

• HR Driver's Licence and valid tickets for operating plant.
• RII Tickets / VOCs for machinery operated and White Card.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing.
• National Police Clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of construction plant and machinery including excavators, loaders, graders, dozers, skid steer, rollers.
• Operate plant safely and efficiently according to specifications and industry practices.
• Complete pre-start inspections, report defects, perform basic maintenance.
• Follow site safety procedures and project specifications.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members.

The Opportunity

We are seeking multi-skilled plant operators for upcoming FIFO/Local opportunities across our Weipa and Groote Eylandt projects.

Key responsibilities

Operate a variety of construction plant and machinery including but not limited to excavators, loaders, graders, dozers, skid steer, rollers

Operate plant and machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices

Complete pre-start inspections, report defects, and perform basic operator maintenance within the scope of your training and authorisation

Follow site safety procedures and project specifications

Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members

Identify hazards and report issues promptly

Undertake general labouring duties as required to support project and site operations

HR Driver's Licence (minimum)

Hold Relevant RII Tickets / VOCs for machinery operated

Construction Induction (White Card)

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing

Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance

Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Ability to work FIFO rosters in remote North Queensland locations

Previous mining or remote site experience

Confined Spaces (within 2 years)

Working at Heights (within 2 years)
