Job summary

Hussey Corp in North Queensland is seeking an experienced Rigger to join our hands-on team. You will perform intermediate or advanced rigging, inspect gear, prepare loads for lifting, and collaborate with crane and site crews to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate holds an Intermediate or Advanced Rigging High Risk Work Licence (HRWL), G1 risk management competency, and a strong commitment to safety. 2–3 years of practical rigging experience is essential.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking a skilled, safety-focused Rigger with recent hands-on experience and an Intermediate or Advanced Rigging High Risk Work Licence. The successful applicant will be confident performing rigging activities in an operational environment and working collaboratively to complete lifting tasks safely and efficiently.

In this role, you will carry out intermediate or advanced rigging activities, inspect and maintain rigging equipment, prepare loads for lifting, work with crane and site teams, and complete all tasks in accordance with lift plans, site procedures, and safety requirements.

This role is suited to an experienced Rigger who is currently working in a hands-on rigging capacity or has maintained recent, relevant rigging experience.

• Minimum 2–3 years' practical rigging experience
• Current Intermediate Rigging or Advanced Rigging High Risk Work Licence
• G1 – Apply Risk Management Processes competency
• Demonstrated recent experience working in a hands-on rigging capacity
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Additional licences and site requirements

• Advanced Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence
• MMQ medical within 12 months
• Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
