Job summary

New Economy Minerals Jobs is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operator for a coal mine near Hail Creek in Queensland. You will operate a range of heavy earthmoving equipment as part of rehabilitation, crushing and screening, pump crew and haul road works.

The roster runs 12.5‑hour day shifts on a Wednesday to Tuesday cycle, with safety and pre‑employment medical requirements. Competitive hourly rate and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Operated the listed heavy machinery in civil or mining environments.
• Must have Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical within the last 2 years or be willing to obtain them.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
• Have SSE signed skills list or RII tickets (within last 5 years).
• Hold a current Driver's Licence and the right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy machinery for rehabilitation, crushing and screening, pump crew and haul road construction & maintenance.
• Operate a variety of listed machines on a rotating roster.
• Adhere to safety protocols and site rules while performing tasks.

Job Description

You will be working as a Multi-Skilled Operator on a coal mine near Hail Creek. You will be responsible for safe operation of machinery doing rehabilitation, crushing and screening, pump crew and haul road construction & maintenance works.

You will be safely operating a variety of the following machinery:

• Loaders
• Dozers
• Graders
• Scrapers
• Excavators
• Float
• Tractors
• Integrated Tool Carrier
• Crushing plant

The successful candidates will be required to work 12.5-hour shifts on a Wednesday to Tuesday rotating day shift only roster.

• Previous experience operating the above machinery in a civil or mining environment
