Job summary

WorkPac is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operator for a coal mine near Hail Creek in Queensland. You will safely operate loaders, dozers, graders and other heavy equipment to support rehabilitation, crushing and screening, pump crew and haul road works.

Successful candidates will have prior mining or civil experience, a current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain, and the ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating the above machinery in a civil or mining environment.
• Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical within last 2 years or willingness to attain this.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
• SSE signed skills list or RII tickets (within the last 5 years).
• Current Drivers Licence & right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery safely for rehabilitation, crushing and screening, pump crew and haul road construction & maintenance.
• Maintain awareness of site safety and procedures while operating equipment.
• Work 12.5-hour shifts on a Wednesday to Tuesday rotating day roster.

What you will be Doing

You will be working as a Multi-Skilled Operator on a coal mine near Hail Creek. You will be responsible for safe operation of machinery doing rehabilitation, crushing and screening, pump crew and haul road construction & maintenance works.

You will be safely operating a variety of the following machinery:

• * Loaders


• * Dozers


• * Graders


• * Scrapers


• * Excavators


• * Float


• * Tractors


• * Integrated Tool Carrier


• * Crushing plant

The successful candidates will be required to work 12.5-hour shifts on a Wednesday to Tuesday rotating day shift only roster.
