Job summary

Challenger Security is seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to lead a portfolio of commercial properties across Melbourne, including oversight of retail locations. The role balances operational excellence, client relationships, people leadership, and business growth in a dynamic security environment.

You will work with clients, site leadership, and security personnel to ensure exceptional service delivery, strong performance, and positive client outcomes across premium assets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing security operations across multiple sites.
• Current VIC Security Licence and First Aid Certificate.
• Current unrestricted Driver Licence.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience developing operational plans, reports and security documentation.
• Leadership and development of security personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of security services across a portfolio of commercial and selected retail sites.
• Ensure all contractual obligations, KPIs, and service standards are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Manage incident responses and provide leadership during critical situations.
• Develop and implement operational plans and security strategies.
• Monitor workforce deployment and rostering for efficient service delivery.
• Provide hands-on operational support and relief coverage when required.
• Build trusted client relationships and act as the escalation point for operational matters.
