Job summary

Mai-Wel Limited in Telarah, NSW, is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Officer to oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and supervise the maintenance crew across multiple sites. The role focuses on keeping buildings safe, compliant and well-maintained while supporting the social enterprise's mission.

You will liaise with licensed contractors, manage work orders, mentor staff, and help plan asset inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or similar environments; ability to plan and deliver maintenance programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and mentor a maintenance team across multi-site operations.
• Experience coordinating trade-qualified contractors and external service providers.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and quality in maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
• Coordinate site and asset inspections; action work orders and repairs.
• Liaise with licensed vendors & contractors to ensure safe, efficient works.
• Supervise, mentor and train maintenance crew; support capacity building.
• Support maintenance operations across Mai-Wel sites as required.
