Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a Radiographer/Medical Imaging Technologist (Grade 2 MRI) for Surgical and Critical Care. In a busy 24/7 imaging service, you will independently perform MRI examinations, supervise students, and contribute to safe imaging practices alongside a supportive team.

You'll work with 1.5T and 3.0T MRI systems, participate in continuous training, and uphold Barwon Health values. The role offers permanent full-time employment, with 80 hours per fortnight and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA and Victorian Health Licence.
• MRI knowledge including post-processing and Part 1 accreditation.
• Experience in radiography across routine, trauma, paediatric imaging.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining ALARA principles.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform routine MRI scanning and safety screening.
• Overtime/on-call in 24/7 ABC roster.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and information systems.
• Produce high-quality images from valid requests following ALARA.
