Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a Radiographer/Medical Imaging Technologist (Grade 2 MRI) for Surgical and Critical Care in Geelong. You will work within a 24/7 MRI team, performing examinations, supervising staff and students, and contributing to a safe, high-quality service.

You will collaborate with Grade 3/4 MRI radiographers and leverage training opportunities to advance your career in a dynamic imaging department.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Specialist MRI knowledge including post-processing and accreditation.
• Experience across routine, trauma and paediatric imaging.
• Ability to triage imaging requests and maintain ALARA standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform routine MRI scanning and safety screening.
• Oversee and train junior staff and students within a 24/7 service.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and information systems.
• Produce high-quality images following request forms and ALARA.
• Escalate faults to supervisors and coordinate with vendors.
