Job summary

City of Whittlesea is seeking a Reactive Maintenance Officer to join the Civil Works team. You will be responsible for asphalt repairs, drainage maintenance and road presentation, working with internal stakeholders to support community infrastructure. A current MR licence or higher and hands-on roadside experience are essential.

The role is full-time with a Band 3 remuneration of $73,961.68 plus Super, plus a comprehensive wellbeing program and other benefits. Applications close 30 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Solid days work ethic and reliability.
• Hands-on experience with roadside/infrastructure maintenance tasks.
• Ability to operate plant or machinery in civil environments.
• Current MR licence or higher.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Civil Works team you will work closely with internal stakeholders/community.
• Perform asphalt repairs, including potholes, pavement and road surface repairs.
• Maintain open drainage systems and associated drainage infrastructure.
• Contribute to maintenance, cleaning and presentation of roads and roadside infrastructure.
