Job summary

Downer in Australia seeks a Road Maintenance Worker to support road and drainage maintenance across the Melton Shire. You will help maintain council assets and ensure safe, functional infrastructure for the local community.

We welcome applicants with or without prior road maintenance experience, offering training and development opportunities. This is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday roster and long-term stability.

Qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence MR/HR highly regarded.
• White Card (General Construction Induction) required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Willingness to complete WWCC.

Responsibilities

• Road maintenance and repair works.
• Drainage maintenance and installation.
• General labouring and civil maintenance tasks.
• Traffic management support.
• Operating hand and power tools.
• Assisting with emergency call-out when required.
• Maintaining safety and Zero Harm principles.
