Job summary

Cleanaway Daniels Health is seeking an MR Driver at the Kooragang Island Newcastle NSW site to perform multi-stop pickups and deliveries, load/unload, scan items, and interact with customers. The role requires a safety-first approach and may involve heavy lifting and regional/local runs.

Overtime, some Saturdays, and potential DG tickets are considered; pre-employment medical and police check are required. Training is provided to support safety and competency in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial driving experience, multi drop preferred.
• Capacity to complete overtime, including some Saturdays.
• Ability to complete local and regional runs.
• Dangerous goods ticket preferred (not essential, training provided).
• Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test.
• Willingness to undergo National Police History Check.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop pickups and deliveries of bins and sharps collectors.
• Load and unload the truck and scan products on delivery/collection.
• Liaise with customers and maintain safety standards.

About the role:

Based atKooragang Island Newcastle NSW site, we are seeking an MR Driver to join our team to serve our local customers. Your day-to-day tasks will include multi-stop pickups and deliveries of bins and sharps collectors along an assigned daily run. You will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck, scanning products as delivered and collected, and liaising with our customers. This role includes elements of heavy lifting both in transit as well as at our facility.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

• Capacity to complete some overtime, including some Saturdays
• Previous commercial driving experience, multi drop preferred
• Ability to complete local and regional runs
• Dangerous goods ticket preferred (not essential, training provided)
• Willingness to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
• Willingness to undertake a National Police Criminal History Check

We are seeking someone who can work independently, displays a superior commitment to safety and who will represent the Cleanaway Daniels brand with pride. This is a physical role, where you will be in/out of the cab of your truck and interacting with our customers where required.

Due to the nature of this work, evidence of currency of vaccination or the willingness to receive defined vaccinations is essential. This will include Covid (2 shots minimum), Flu Shot and Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus.
