Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a Mower/Brushcutter Operator to maintain parks, reserves and roadsides around the City of Casey from our depot in Dandenong South. You will operate front deck and ride-on mowers, perform routine checks, and ensure green spaces meet high standards.

Applicants should have horticulture/lawn maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license (preferred), and be prepared for outdoor work in various weather conditions. Safety compliance and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience in horticulture, lawn care and maintenance.
• Manual Driver's license (preferred).
• Ride on mower experience on council sites (advantage).
• Current Working with Children check & Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and sun.
• Strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate front deck, zero-turn, and brush cutter equipment.
• Perform daily prestart equipment checks.
• Maintain lawns and green spaces to a high standard.
• Complete horticultural tasks as required based on contract.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.

Job description

• Permanent full-time position (Monday-Friday)
• Depot based in Dandenong South
• Full PPE & uniform provided

About The Role

As a Mower / Brushcutter Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking routine maintenance works in Council controlled parks, reserves and selected roadsides around the City of Casey.

• Ability to operate front deck mowers or Zero Turn Mowers and Push Mowers and brush cutters
• Perform routine prestart checks on your daily equipment
• Ensure lawns and green spaces are maintained to a high standard
• Complete horticultural tasks as required based our contract
• Follow and practice safety protocols and procedures

About You

• Experience in Horticulture, lawn care and maintenance. Qualifications preferred.
• Manual Drivers licence (preferred)
• Ride on Mower experience of Council Controlled sites will be highly regarded
• Current Working with Children check & Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
