Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a hands-on Mowing & Brushcutting Team Leader to guide our Open-space Maintenance crew across Moreton Bay sites. You will lead from the front, mentor staff, operate mowing equipment, and ensure safety and high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in roadside zero-turn mowing and brush cutting.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate your team to achieve outstanding results.
• Operate zero-turn mowers, brush cutters, and other maintenance equipment safely.
• Maintain roadsides and open spaces to high standards.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure machinery is well maintained.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and service requests.
• Promote a strong safety culture and follow company procedures.
• Work closely with your team while leading from the front.

Green by Nature is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to lead our Open-space Maintenance (Parks & Gardens, Roadsides) crew across council-managed sites throughout the Moreton Bay region.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading, mentoring, and motivating your team to achieve outstanding results.
• Operating zero-turn mowers, brush cutters, and other maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining roadsides and open spaces to the highest standards.
• Conducting daily equipment inspections and ensuring machinery is well maintained.
• Completing scheduled maintenance and service requests.
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• Working closely with your team while leading from the front.

What We're Looking For

You’ll bring:

• Experience in roadside zero-turn mowing and brush cutting.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team (highly regarded).
• Current Manual Driver Licence.
• Construction White Card.
• ACDC Licence.
• Traffic Management experience or certification is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• The ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
