Blacklocks (Part of Tony White Group) in the Albury/Wodonga region is seeking a qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join their team in Wodonga VIC. The role involves dismantling engines, repairing parts, and ensuring assemblies meet specifications.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology with about 3 years of experience and demonstrate teamwork. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 per year for a permanent, full-time position.

Formación

• 3+ years' experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Dismantle engines and repair or replace defective parts such as magnetos, carburetors and generators.
• Remove cylinder heads, grind valves, scrape off carbon, and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders and rings using hand and power tools.
• Repair or replace other parts such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline and oil tanks, starters and mufflers.
• Repair and adjust motorcycle subassemblies such as forks, transmissions, brakes, and drive chains according to specifications.
• Replace defective parts using hand tools, arbor presses, flexible power presses, or power tools.
• Reassemble and test subassembly units.
• Disassemble subassembly units and inspect condition, movement or alignment of parts visually or with gauges.

Job Description

Blacklocks (Part of Tony White Group) has been operating in Albury/Wodonga region for over 100 years with three large new/used automotive dealerships. We are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join their team in Wodonga VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Dismantle engines and repair or replace defective parts, such as magnetos, carburetors, and generators
• Remove cylinder heads, grind valves, and scrape off carbon, and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders and rings, using hand tools and power tools
• Repair or replace other parts, such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline and oil tanks, starters and mufflers
• Repair and adjust motorcycle subassemblies such as forks, transmissions, brakes, and drive chains, according to specifications
• Replace defective parts, using hand tools, arbor presses, flexible power presses, or power tools
• Reassemble and test subassembly units
• Disassemble subassembly units and examine condition, movement or alignment of parts visually or using gauges

Skills and Abilities

• Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic
• The ability to work in a team environment
