JR's Mowers & Motorcycle, based in Bairnsdale VIC, seeks a qualified Motorcycle Mechanic for a permanent, full-time position. The role involves dismantling and repairing engines, replacing worn components and testing assemblies to ensure motorcycle performance.

The candidate should hold a Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology, have about 3 years of hands-on experience, and work well within a team.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic.
• The ability to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Dismantle engines and repair or replace defective parts such as magnetos, carburettors and generators.
• Remove cylinder heads, grind valves, and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders and rings using hand tools and power tools.
• Repair or replace parts such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline and oil tanks, starters and mufflers.
• Repair and adjust motorcycle subassemblies such as forks, transmissions, brakes and drive chains according to specifications.
• Replace defective parts using hand tools, arbor presses, flexible power presses or power tools.
• Reassemble and test subassembly units.
• Disassemble subassembly units and examine condition, movement, or alignment of parts visually or using gauges.

Job Description

JR's Mowers & Motorcycle is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join their team in Bairnsdale VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Dismantle engines and repair or replace defective parts, such as magnetos, carburettors, and generators.
• Remove cylinder heads, grind valves, and scrape off carbon, and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders, and rings, using hand tools and power tools.
• Repair or replace other parts, such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline and oil tanks, starters, and mufflers.
• Repair and adjust motorcycle subassemblies such as forks, transmissions, brakes, and drive chains, according to specifications.
• Replace defective parts, using hand tools, Arbor presses, flexible power presses, or power tools.
• Reassemble and test subassembly units.
• Disassemble subassembly units and examine condition, movement, or alignment of parts visually or using gauges.

Skills and Abilities

• Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience. Fulltime Position available. Application opens on 17th of September 2026 and closes on 17th of October 2026.
