Job summary

Callaghan Motors Group in Warrnambool and Portland VIC is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our workshop on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work as part of a team across multiple brands and support customers with quality service.

Requirements include Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, ideally three years' experience, strong diagnostics, and the ability to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in repairs and maintenance per manufacturers' requirements
• Ability to perform scheduled maintenance servicing
• Capacity to service and repair vehicles as per the repair order
• Strong diagnostics capabilities
• Good verbal and written communications skills

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance servicing across multiple models
• Diagnose and repair faults to minimize downtime
• Communicate effectively with customers and workshop colleagues
• Work efficiently as part of a team in Warrnambool/Portland workshop

Job Description

Callaghan Motors Group have been serving the South West Victoria and the Great Ocean Road areas for over 80 years, with dealerships based in Warrnambool and Portland. We are currently seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our workshop in both in Warrnambool and Portland VIC.

We take pride in ensuring the needs of our customers are fully satisfied whilst providing the highest standards of service and after sales support. The successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:

• Extensive experience in repairs and maintenance in line with the manufacturers' requirements for all make and models
• The ability to perform scheduled maintenance servicing
• The capacity to service and repair vehicles as per the repair order with the allocated time
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Strong diagnostics capabilities

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Ideally have a minimum of three years' experience as a qualified Light Vehicle Technician
• A strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• The ability to work in a team environment
