Job summary

Black Toyota in Queensland seeks a qualified Automotive Mechanic/Motor Technician to join our Oakey service team. You will diagnose, repair and service vehicles, while training apprentices and upholding safety standards.

With minimum 4 years' experience, a trade qualification, and a current driver's license, you will enjoy competitive remuneration and opportunities for promotion within Australia's largest Automotive group.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic or 4th year apprentice.
• Minimum 4 years experience.
• Must hold a current driver's license.
• A desire to achieve results.
• Previous dealership experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
• Roadworthy Inspection Certificate is highly desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles.
• Taking all necessary steps to diagnose to ensure the correct operation of vehicles.
• Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems.
• Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs.
• Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians.
• Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.
• Demonstrate behaviours that align with company policies, organisational values.
• Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
