Job summary

Lakeshore Pty Ltd in Walkamin, North Queensland, is seeking a Qualified Motor Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to service and maintain our machinery fleet, including tractors, trucks, elevated work platforms and four-wheelers.

We offer a modern workshop, on-site tools, and the opportunity to specialise in different parts of our fleet based on your qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience on light vehicles, highway trucks and farm equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to diagnose and inspect machines for faults or worn parts.
• Ability to perform servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Willingness to perform quality workmanship in a timely manner.
• Must be physically fit for manual tasks.
• Manual licence and forklift/HR licences are advantageous.

Job description

Lakeshore is a large producer of Avocados based at Walkamin in Nth Queensland. We are looking for a Qualified Motor Mechanic or a Diesel Fitter for our mechanical workshop and the maintenance of our machinery fleet. The items range from Tractors, Trucks, Elevated work platforms, Motor Vehicles and four wheelers. Depending on your qualifications and experience, you will be able to focus on different parts of our fleet.

We would welcome a pleasent motivated person to join our maintenance team.

We have a new workshop and all required tools and apparatus are provided on site.

Below is a list of what we are looking for

• experience on light vehicle’s, highway trucks and farm equipment (ie tractors, backhoes and farming implements) would be an advantage.
• Ability to diagnose and inspect machines for faults or worn parts.
• Ability to perform servicing and preventive maintenance
• Must have a can do attitude and a willingness to perform quality workmanship in a timely manner.
• Must be physically fit & able to perform manual tasks
• Manual driver licence, forklift ticket and HR licence would also be an advantage
• Ability to keep records of servicing and work completed, As well as ordering parts
