Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical repairs and servicing on vehicles.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
• Test drive vehicles to assess performance and confirm repairs have been completed correctly.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Complete repairs and maintenance within specified timeframes.
• Source required parts and materials in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Keep truck logbooks and maintenance records up to date.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced and repaired vehicles.
• Follow inspection procedures and checklists.
• Maintain an accurate parts inventory.
• Deal with day-to-day yard and workshop matters.
• Report completed works and issues to the Director daily.

Skills & Experience:

• Must be Mechanically minded
