Job summary

Fidler Industrial in Queensland is seeking a reliable Workshop Mechanic to maintain our fleet across the Bowen Basin and Central Highlands. This four-day-per-week role involves servicing and repairing a range of vehicles and equipment, and contributing to a tidy, safe workshop environment.

You should have hands-on fault-finding skills, knowledge of auto electrics, and the ability to work independently or with a small team.

Qualifications

• Must-have fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of auto electrics and small diesel engines.
• Ability to service and repair a range of vehicles and equipment.
• Reliable, independent worker with ability to operate in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain vehicles and equipment to good condition.
• Keep workshop and storeroom tidy.
• Perform other duties typical for a mechanic role.

About the role

This Role is 4 days a week . In this role you will be required to,

• Service and maintainvehiclesand equipment in good working condition
• keeping workshop and storeroom tidy
• All Aspects usually associated with a mechanics role

Skills and experience

• Manual Drivers License ( MR Truck License Advantageous)
• Problem Solving and fault finding
• Good knowledge of auto electrics
• Good knowledge of small trucks, light vehicles, small diesel engines
• exceptional work ethic and be able to work unsupervised and with a small team
• Forklift license Advantageous
• Brake Testing Qualifications Advantageous
