Motor Mechanic Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Motor Mechanic as well as a car enthusiast who wants to become qualified to join our dedicated team in our workshop Immi Rentals. The main role is to diagnose, repair, maintain and test motor vehicles. Main duties include repairing damaged engines and motor vehicle parts in emergency situations for company vehicles and for external customers. All vehicles are thoroughly repaired and inspected as per workshop standards for total driver satisfaction.

1. Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed.
2. Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
3. Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.
4. Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
5. Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
6. Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
7. Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
8. May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
9. May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.

Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics

Minimum 1 years of experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
