Job summary

KT Crash & Mechanical Repairs is seeking a qualified and experienced full-time Motor Mechanic in Adelaide. The successful applicant will inspect, maintain, and repair a range of motor vehicles to ensure safety and performance.

A base salary of AUD 80,000 plus superannuation is offered, with opportunities to grow within a well-established service team. The role requires a minimum trade-level qualification in automotive technology and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Trade-level Qualification in Automotive Technology.
• Minimum of 1+ year experience.

Responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components and check parts.
• Service vehicles according to manufacturer’s guidelines and manuals.
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
• Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
• Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.
• Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures.
